We’ll wake up early to watch the sunrise over Pico Do Arieiro and hike over to Pico Ruivo, the highest peak in Madeira. It’s an early morning, but trust us, you’ll thank yourself later!
One of the most iconic and dramatic pictures you’ll see of Madeira are from Ponta De Sao Lourenco. We’ll hike this trail till the edge of Madeira on the east, and walk down to a secluded beach so bring your swimwear and snacks (and a drone if you’ve got one)!
This trail takes us through many small and impressive waterfalls. You can take a dip in some of them too!
Madeira is one of the best places to watch whales and dolphins in Europe year round. We’ll rent a catamaran and take it out to watch these sea cuties in their natural habitat.
We’ve booked comfortable apartments in Funchal and have an option to upgrade to a villa. The apartments are walking distance to our Coworking spot and everything you need is close by!
We’ll be staying in the capital of this archipelago, Funchal. It’s known for the hills in the background, the many gardens, and vintage wine cellars. You’ll find everything you need in this beautiful town for a long stay.

There were so many more activities I wouldn’t have considered doing myself and it was genuinely designed to make you experience a place for all that it has to offer rather than the similar or comfortable things travelers tend to do. From salsa-making classes to taco tours, and fun churro spots to hot air ballooning, these types of events mixed with people who are experienced in the city (local and non-local) take so much of the stress you typically have when planning vacations in non-speaking English cities.
